Ngl this art style is not working out imo. It was ok in Hamdbook where things were *supposed* to look like static storybook pages, but much less so in a comic.
Reminds me of osp tbh, in how a style that works really well in its og format does not translate well at all to a comic format.
Kinda can see why you say that but the style does works for me at least. The comic is far from static. On this very page the panels show the actions as they pass between them. Just look at the details and her emotions. How on the first one he says just with his arm on her shoulder to calm down, second one is getting hope that there could be still a solution in spite of everything, third one is she listening another chance another try, then her getting her emotions get the best of her and finally she loosing it. Far from static panels just showing a chat they show the emotions and motions as the conversation goes nowhere.
Then again, as Laurel said, styles can be subjective and that is okay. For example, One Punch Man is a comic many people like but there is something on the style that just… dunno, just don’t like it. Same with other works of the same author like Mob Psycho 100.
If anything Laurel style shows a great improvement since Chorus of the Neverborn, read that one a while ago and the improvements are noticeable. Congrats on that by the way 😀

Yeah, that was just rude. Havelock Vetinari, he ain’t.
Laurel
I mean, so few people can live up to the Vetinari standard!

If curing the infection was so easy there won’t be any comic. They gotta read this comic more and catch up with the plot 😛
Laurel
Yeah, characters, didn’t you get the script when it got handed out for rehearsals?
Schattensturm
She seems of the “A-real-star-improvises”kind of actress 😀

Style can be a really subjective thing, I’m sorry it’s not working for you on this one.
